Sonali Khandelwal, MD is an associate professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at Rush Medical College and is Associate program Director of the Rush Internal Medicine Residency Program. Khandelwal received her Bachelor in Arts from the University of Michigan and her MD from Michigan State University. She completed her residency, chief residency and fellowship training at Rush University. Khandelwal’s clinical interests include osteoporosis and inherited connective tissue diseases. She is director of the Rush Connective Tissue Disease Clinic and co-director of the Rush Osteoporosis Treatment Center. As a program director she has a very strong interest in medical education and participates in weekly didactics and morning reports with the residents. Khandelwal works with other subspecialists at Rush in subspecialty curriculum development and has been involved in several projects related to quality improvement, musculoskeletal education and board preparation. She is a member of the American College of Rheumatology planning committee as well as on the medical committee for the Arthritis Foundation of Chicago.
