Karen Ferguson, MS is a proven health care executive with over 20 years of leadership within the health care industry. As the practice administrator for the last 17 years to one of the largest rheumatology practices in the Pacific Northwest, Karen led several quality initiatives such as the NCQA Patient Centered Specialty Programs, and was co-founder and CEO for Discus Analytics, whose flagship product is JointMan..
As the Practice Administrator, Karen led her organization to earn the national recognition for quality care, “NCQA Patient-Centered Specialty Practice Recognition” which distinguishes practices that demonstrates constant improvement through communication, coordination, and providing access to care.
Currently, Karen continues her passion as a consultant and passionate patient/doctor advocate. She founded a 501 C4 non -profit organization, Our Stories Rx, as an interactive storytelling platform that brings together patients, community clinicians, and others being harmed by the predatory pharmaceutical benefit management practices and perverse incentives that drive up cost and limit best treatment options.
Ms. Ferguson is past President of the Washington State Medical Group Management Association. She currently serves as ARP/ACR Ethics and COI Committee, ACR Strategic Workforce Planning Committee, CSRO Payer Committee and GTMRx Payer committee. Ms. Ferguson received her Master of Science in Health Education from Whitworth University.
