Dr. Philip Seo is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Johns Hopkins University. He was the Director of the Johns Hopkins Vasculitis Center, the Director of the Johns Hopkins Rheumatology Fellowship Training Program for 11 years. He has been a member of the ACR's Committee on Training and Workforce, the Annual Meeting Planning Committee, and the Vasculitis Guidelines Committee. He was also a Co-Chair of the ACR's In-Training Examination Taskforce, the Annual Meeting Review Course, and the Non-ANCA Vasculitis Abstract Selection Committee. Currently, he is a member of the ACR's Committee on Membership and Awards, the MIS-C Task Force, the New Program Directors' Task Force, and the Virtual Rheumatology Program for Fellows-in-Training Task Force. He is the Medical Editor of The Rheumatologist and an Associate Editor of Seminars in Arthritis and Rheumatism. He also serves on the ABIM Specialty Board in Rheumatology, the Vasculitis Foundation's Advisory Board, and Study Section B for the Rheumatology Research Foundation. In 2021, he received the ACR's Distinguished Clinical Scholar Award, which is awarded annually to a rheumatologist who makes outstanding contributions in clinical medicine, clinical scholarship, or education.
