Dr.Suzette Peng is a board certified internist and rheumatologist. She joined the FDA in 2012 as a medical officer in what is now the Division of Rheumatology and Transplant Medicine in the Center of Drug Evaluation and Research. She completed an internal medicine residency and rheumatology fellowship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in 2005 and 2009, respectively. She currently sees patients in the rheumatology clinic at Fort Belvoir Community Hospital. She was an officer in the US Army and is now a Captain in the US Public Health Service with whom she has served in multiple national and global responses, including the Ebola crisis in 2014, Hurricane Maria in 2017, and COVID-19 public health emergency in 2020.
