Dr. Sara McCoy graduated from Case Western Reserve School of Medicine in 2006 and completed her post-graduate medical training in Internal Medicine at Mayo Clinic and Rheumatology at the University of Michigan. Dr. McCoy has been a faculty member at the University of Wisconsin since 2015 and earned her PhD in 2021. Dr. McCoy created the University of Wisconsin Sjӧgren’s Clinic in 2016 and the Sjӧgren’s biorepository in 2017. Her research critically informs the pathogenesis of Sjӧgren’s disease, with a focus on salivary gland mesenchymal stromal cell immunobiology. She also is working to discover novel autoantibodies in Sjӧgren’s disease.
