Beth Gottlieb, MD, MS is the Director of Pediatric Rheumatology at Cohen Children’s Medical Center of New York and is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine. Dr. Gottlieb directed the Rheumatology Fellowship Program in her division from 2006 until 2021. She has a special interest in outcomes in juvenile arthritis and quality improvement and directs the quality improvement initiatives in the Pediatric Rheumatology Division.
Dr. Gottlieb earned a Master of Science in Clinical Research Methods from The Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Yeshiva University.
Dr Gottlieb has a particular interest in outcomes and quality improvement in juvenile arthritis. Along with a small core group of pediatric rheumatologists Dr. Gottlieb helped to form a workgroup to create a Pediatric Rheumatology quality improvement initiative. This group launched the Pediatric Rheumatology Care and Outcomes Improvement Network (PR-COIN) in 2010, as an international collaborative effort. Dr. Gottlieb served on PR-COIN’s Executive Steering Committee and Chaired the Scientific Development Subcommittee for 12 years. She continues to serve on the Steering Committee for the group. She currently serves as the Juvenile Arthritis Outcomes Workgroup Chair for the Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance (CARRA).
