Dr. Elizabeth Ortiz is a double board-certified Rheumatologist with 12+ years experience in clinical, leadership, academic and administrative settings. A graduate of Weill Medical College of Cornell University as well as the Los Angeles County+University of Southern California Rheumatology Fellowship, Dr. Ortiz served as faculty at Keck Medical Center for over 9 years. While on faculty she held numerous positions, including Lupus Clinic Director, MSK System Chair of Keck Medical School and Rheumatology Fellowship Program Director. Dr. Ortiz blends her skills obtained from her extensive experience in the clinic, in the classroom and in management & program development to bring state-of-the-art rheumatology care to patients. After developing a one-of-its-kind clinic, Connected Rheumatology, that utilizes telemedicine and house calls to provide holistic rheumatic care, she is now excited to bring that vision as Medical Director to Motto Health, set to launch in the fall 2022. A celebrated teacher, she leverages the reach of social media to provide education on complex topics in understandable terms. She has spoken at international, national and local conferences to general and professional audiences about a range of topics, including lupus (SLE), arthritis, fibromyalgia, and transition care from pediatrics.
