Professor Stéphane Zuily is working in the Vascular Medicine department of the Nancy Academic Hospital since 2009 after an internship in Nancy dedicated to cardiovascular diseases and a medical school in Paris.
His clinical activities include the management of all frequent (e.g. arterial and venous thrombosis, atherosclerosis, arteriopathy, aneurysms, acrosyndrome, thrombophilia, etc.) and rare vascular pathologies of the arteries, veins, lymphatics and the microcirculation. His skills are also integrated into the activities of the departement labeled by the Ministry as a Center of Competences for Rare Diseases for the following diseases:
He is an expert in vascular medicine at the Court of Appeal of Nancy and is willing to provide legal expertise on request.
His research activities are oriented towards the antiphospholipid syndrome and thrombosis. He worked for a year in New York (USA) in 2014-2015 as part of this specialization with Dr. Doruk Erkan (Weill Cornell Medicine, Hospital For Special Surgery). Professor Zuily is editor of the “antiphospholipids” section for the journal Current Rheumatology (Springer Nature, springer.com/journal/11926). He is the coordinating investigator of the national therapeutic trial COVI-DOSE, a national research priority, aimed at reducing the risk of thrombosis during COVID-19. He carries out his research within the Inserm unit UMR_S 1116 (Acute and Chronic Cardiovascular Failure).
