Historically, the understanding of polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR) has been limited, but recent developments provide us with a better perspective on the inflammatory processes that drive PMR, including cytokines such as interleukin-6 (IL-6). Please join Dr. Leonard Calabrese as he discusses the pathophysiology of PMR and the central role of IL-6 and other cytokines driving PMR progression. This program will also highlight factors which may interfere with diagnosing PMR and the limited options for management.
