This event will explore how we might better meet the needs of patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA).

Learning objectives will be achieved through an introductory presentation by Dr. Roy Fleischmann, followed by two disease education talks given by Dr. Grace Wright and Dr. Alan Epstein.

Learning Objectives:

To educate on the relationship between RA pathophysiology and its presentation, in particular the importance of key pathways (e.g. the interplay of pro- and anti-inflammatory immune mediators and cytokines).
To demonstrate how evolving our understanding of these pathways may offer insights into the difficulties in achieving better patient outcomes
To highlight the unmet needs of patients with RA – including ongoing burdens such as polypharmacy, health inequity, pain, and fatigue – and how these might be tackled
