This session will address the autoinflammatory nature of gout and highlight it as one of the truly IL-1 β -mediated diseases. Increasing knowledge on the inflammatory mechanisms of gout has implications for disease management. These engaging talks will review the state of the science regarding the immunology, clinical manifestations, and treatments of acute gout flares and anti-inflammatory prophylaxis as an integral part of gout treatment.
