This session will introduce participants to the newly compiled guideline for vaccination in patients with rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases. The guideline was derived from a standardized protocol of developing relevant clinical questions about vaccinations in these populations, followed by an extensive literature review. Evidence summaries from the literature review were then used to develop a guideline to assist providers and patients to plan vaccination strategies with respect to disease activity and use of immunosuppressant medications. The session will review the methods utilized to develop the guideline and the guideline recommendations.
