This session will focus on the role of ancillary testing in the diagnosis of the inflammatory myopathies. The contributions of serologic testing, imaging, EMG, and histopathology to confirm a diagnosis of myositis will be evaluated, incorporating recent updates in the field. Having an understanding of the variety of diagnostic tools available in different health care settings should lead to improved patient care.
