This session will review the development process of recently drafted classification criteria for chronic nonbacterial osteomyelitis (CNO) and chronic recurrent multifocal osteomyelitis (CRMO) in childhood. Faculty will describe the process of developing and validating pediatric CNO classification criteria and the rationale for selection of the final items, weighting, and threshold. Faculty will also review the application of these new criteria in future research settings. This session will appeal to both researchers and clinicians, including those involved with clinical care and research of pediatric and adult CNO patients.
