New to pediatric rheumatology and need a quick start guide? This presentation will be for beginners to discuss diagnosis and management of pediatric rheumatology conditions. Review of basic labs and the most common biologic medications and DMARDs will also be included, as well as some clinical pearls and references to broaden your knowledge.

Learning Objectives:

Discuss general principles of autoimmune disease symptoms, diagnosis, and management specific to children with JIA, lupus, dermatomyositis, and scleroderma
Describe laboratory tests/imaging which would be most useful in the evaluation, diagnosis, and prognosis of JIA, lupus, dermatomyositis, and scleroderma
Discuss the most common biologic medications and immunosuppressants used in pediatric rheumatology to treat JIA, lupus (SLE), dermatomyositis (JDM), and scleroderma
