Rheumatologists know that the great challenge in managing rheumatic disease starts with making the correct diagnosis. Numerous diagnoses mimic key characteristics of rheumatic diseases, but are managed very differently. This session will review key examples of mimics of scleroderma, myositis, and vasculitis, discuss pitfalls in their diagnosis, and review basic strategies to differentiate mimics from true rheumatic diseases.
