This opening keynote panel will address the critical and intertwined challenges posed by climate change, conflict and migration on the health of populations across the globe. Bringing together lessons on-the-ground from key intergovernmental, non-governmental and academic institutions, this session will highlight the complexities and multi-sectorial response required to address these crises. Finally, the role of health professionals and the medical and scientific communities in addressing acute and long-term consequences of each issue will be discussed, with a particular focus on chronic diseases

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion, participants will be able to describe the impact of climate change, conflict and migration on the health of populations globally, particularly in the context of chronic diseases.
Upon completion, participants will be able to describe the strategies that intergovernmental, non-governmental and academic institutions are utilizing to address these crises.
Upon completion, participants will be able to describe how health professionals, and the medical and scientific community can be part of strategies to address the acute and long-term consequences of each issue.
