Creating research and clinical partnerships between nations of different income levels (high, middle, low) or locations in rheumatology can lead to reciprocal innovations. There is mutual benefit and education that arise from bidirectional collaboration. This session will demonstrate how collaboration can improve the care and study of patients with rheumatic and musculoskeletal disease in both high income and low to middle income nations. The goal is to highlight shared health challenges, resulting innovations, and foster exchange of ideas in alleviating disparities/inequities in rheumatology.
Based on submissions, four members of the global rheumatology community will present the projects/programs/examples of reciprocal innovation they have created to address challenges in rheumatology patient care, education, and/or research.
