In 2021, young rheumatologists representing the ACR and each LAR identified key priorities for the future of rheumatology. Among them, local, national and global advocacy for rheumatology was highlighted as critically important to advancing rheumatology care, education and research around the world. This year, our Global LARS Session highlights advocates from each region to talk about strategies, successes and challenges that they have faced in promoting our field to policymakers and the public.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion, participants will be able to discuss shared and unique challenges to rheumatology advocacy in different regions.
Upon completion, participants will be able to describe successful strategies that have been employed by rheumatology advocates globally.
Upon completion, participants will be able to identify ways in which they can become more engaged in advocating for rheumatology to policymakers and the public.
