Choosing appropriate measures to evaluate changes in patient-reported outcomes among rheumatic populations can be daunting. Moreover, the time for survey design and scoring can further complicate the evaluation process. The Patient-Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System (PROMIS) is an efficient evaluative and research tool.
Presentations will include a review of the advantages of PROMIS, measures selection considerations (more vs. fewer questions within topic areas), building/management within the Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap) secure web application, and scoring options within PROMIS. Additionally, panelists will present varied perspectives regarding PROMIS utility within clinical care practices and research studies.
