Dr. Garcia-Hernandez is a Research Assistant Professor in the Division of Allergy, Immunology, and Rheumatology in the Department of Medicine at the University of Rochester. She utilized her training in molecular biology and immunology at the Center of Research and Advanced Studies (CINVESTAV) to study the mechanisms of evasion and protection in tumor immunity at the University of Southern California and Trudeau Institute. She received additional training in cardiovascular biology at the Cardiovascular Research Institute at the University of Rochester. She is currently investigating the contribution of Dendritic cell seven-transmembrane protein (DC-STAMP) in the induction of bone immunopathology in mice with serum-induced arthritis and TNF transgenic mice.
