Dr. Funk is Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the University of Kansas School of Pharmacy in Lawrence, KS. He holds a joint appointment in the Department of Pharmacology, Toxicology and Therapeutics at the University of Kansas Medical Center, and a courtesy appointment in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. Dr. Funk holds a PharmD and PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the University of Kansas School of Pharmacy. He completed post-doctoral training in the Division of Pediatric Clinical Pharmacology, Toxicology and Therapeutic Innovation at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, MO. His research focuses on the molecular mechanisms of variability in clinical response to disease-modifying therapeutics used in the treatment of autoimmunity.
