Laure Gossec, MD, PhD, is Professor of Rheumatology in Sorbonne Universite and Pitie-Salpetriere Hospital, Paris, France. Laure Gossec’s research interests focus on outcome measures and targeted treatments, in spondyloarthritis, psoriatic arthritis (PsA) and rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Professor Gossec is particularly interested in the patient’s perspective and patient-centred research, and has successfully led Europe-wide projects to develop scores to assess the impact of RA then PsA, under the aegis of EULAR.
Over the past 2 years, Laure Gossec led an international study on outcomes in PsA (the Remission and Flares in PsA study), she co-led a EULAR taskforce on Big Data in rheumatology and coordinated with Professor Smolen (Austria) an update of the EULAR recommendations for the management of PsA. She is part of the EULAR Covid Registry / Covax Registry steering group.
Laure Gossec is a Past-Chair of the Epidemiology standing committee of EULAR and is a founding member and past Chair of the Emerging EULAR Network (EMEUNET). Professor Gossec has authored close to 450 peer-reviewed manuscripts.
