Ryan Mitacek is a pediatric rheumatology fellow at the University of Chicago, Comer Children's Hospital. After graduating medical school at Trinity School of Medicine, he completed his general pediatrics residency at CAMC Women and Children's Hospital in Charleston, West Virginia. He has fond affection for his patients, deep curiosity of the T cell, and a seething hatred for lupus nephritis. His current research interest is on the relation between interstitial inflammation and outcomes in pediatric lupus nephritis. When he is not convincing residents to apply for pediatric rheumatology, he can be found walking with his wife Qiong and their dog Lola.
