Inspired by her physician father, who dedicated his life to his patients and medical students, Marina was drawn to Medicine at a young age. She learned to appreciate the unique impact of Medicine on people's lives.
She graduated from Alexandria University School of Medicine in the top 1% of her class and was appointed as faculty. She has always been interested in Public Health, which led her to work on several preventive medicine projects with the World Health Organization and UNICEF. She is currently an Internal Medicine resident at NYU Langone-Long Island hospital and serves as a clinical instructor at the NYU-Long Island School of Medicine. Marina enjoys challenging herself and applying her critical thinking with a sincere desire to relieve suffering and support her patients throughout their illnesses. She is aiming to pursue a career in rheumatology, which she finds an exciting, rapidly evolving field and a specialty where you develop long-term, meaningful relationships with your patients.
Outside of Medicine, she enjoys outdoor activities, traveling, and spending time with her family.
