Dr. Estrada-Veras interests are the diagnosis and treatment of hereditary and rare diseases with special interest in hereditary cancer predisposition syndromes and metabolic disorders . Previous research interest include non-Langerhans cell histiocytic disorders, especially Erdheim-Chester disease. Dr. Estrada-Veras was PI for the NIH studies, “Clinical and Basic Investigation into Erdheim-Chester Disease” and “Dabrafenib and Trametinib Trial for Treating Patients With Erdheim-Chester Disease and BRAF Mutation.” In 2017, he joined the clinical genetics service at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and oversees the daily operations of the clinical cancer genetics program at Murtha Cancer Center and provides clinical research support for MCCRP / USUHS
