Prasad G. Iyer, MD, MS, FACG, is Professor of Medicine and Director of the Esophageal Interest Group in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN. Dr. Iyer is a gastroenterologist with a clinical and research interest in Esophageal diseases, Barrett's esophagus, and esophageal carcinoma. His practice focuses on the screening/early detection and endoscopic therapy of early esophageal neoplasia and his research program is funded by the NCI and GI Foundations. He has published over 200 peer reviewed manuscripts and is an Associate Editor for Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He is the current ACG Governor for Minnesota.
