Jeffrey Lee, MD, MPH, FACG, is currently a Professor and Director of Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship and Training in the Division of Gastroenterology of the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. He made the move south in 2003, leaving his post as a faculty at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, CT. His main academic interests include diagnosing and staging of various gastrointestinal malignancies, biliary and pancreatic diseases, and state-of-the art advances in the use of endoscopy as a therapeutic tool. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of California School of Medicine at Davis. Subsequently he completed a fellowship in Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy (ERCP, EUS) at Harvard Medical School, Brigham and Women's Hospital, and graduate school education at Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. Lee has served as Chair of the ASGE's ERCP committee, and as a member on ACG's International Relations Committee, its Publication Committee, and ACG's Educational Affairs Committee. He is currently serving as a member of ACG's Training Committee. Having published more than 240 articles in peer-reviewed journals, he lectured extensively at national and international meetings including the annual meetings of ACG and Digestive Disease Week, and hospital Grand Rounds.
