Shabana F. Pasha, MD, is a Professor of Medicine and Vice Chair of the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Mayo Clinic, AZ. She is board certified in Gastroenterology and Hepatology. Dr. Pasha is a fellow of the ACG, and currently serves as the ACG Governor of Arizona. Her clinical and research interests include small bowel disorders and small bowel endoscopy (capsule endoscopy and balloon assisted enteroscopy), inflammatory bowel disease and colorectal cancer. She co-authored several practice guidelines when she served on the ASGE Standards of Practice Committee. Dr. Pasha co-founded the trisite IBD biobank at Mayo Clinic, and is actively involved in biomarker research in IBD, artificial intelligence in capsule endoscopy and new endoscopic technologies. She is also a faculty at the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine, where she teaches the GIH Nutrition block.
