Neil Stollman, MD, FACG, is currently Chief of the Division of Gastroenterology at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center in Oakland, CA, and is an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology at the University of California San Francisco. Dr. Stollman has published his work in journals such as Lancet, Gastroenterology, The American Journal of Gastroenterology, and Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, writing about such topics as Fecal Microbiota Transplant (FMT) for C. diffile infection, diverticular disease, and eosinophilic esophagitis, topics for which he's contributed to national practice guidelines. He has served on the ACG's Patient Care Committee, Credentials Committee, and Educational Affairs Committee and is the immediate past-Chair of the ACG Board of Governors and a current member of the Board of Trustees. Dr. Stollman received his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine. He completed a Residency and Chief Residency in Internal Medicine at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University in New York, and his Fellowships in Gastroenterology and Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy at Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami School of Medicine. He now lives and works at the East Bay Center for DIgestive Health in Oakland, CA.
