John C. Fang, MD, is Professor of Medicine, Interim Division Chief and Medical Director of Endoscopy, in the Division of Gastroenterology-Hepatology and Nutrition at the University of Utah School of Medicine. Dr. Fang is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, MO. He completed his internal medicine residency at Temple University in Philadelphia and afterward, served for three years with the Indian Health Service in New Mexico. He subsequently completed a gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Virginia and received an additional year of training in the diagnosis and management of GI motility problems at the Marvin Schuster Motility Center at Johns Hopkins Bayview. Dr. Fang came to the University of Utah in July 1998. His special interests include problems of upper and lower GI motility. Dr. Fang served as Director, Motility Laboratory, and is currently Acting Division Chief of Gastroenterology and Medical Director of Endoscopy.
