Kristle Lee Lynch, MD, is an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Lynch received her undergraduate degree and medical training at Northwestern University. She then went on to complete her medical residency at the McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University and her Gastroenterology fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institution where she served as Chief Fellow. Dr. Lynch specializes in complex esophageal diseases. Her clinical and research interests include eosinophilic esophagitis, esophageal motility disorders, gastroesophageal reflux disease, as well as esophageal strictures. She is actively involved in numerous clinical trials and registry studies that are conducted at the Penn Esophageal Center. She is the founder and program director of the Advanced Esophageal Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. Additionally, she serves as the Director of continuing medical education and the Director of the GI Physiology laboratory for the Division of Gastroenterology. She has been offered clinical grant funding by both the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Gastroenterological Association. Dr. Lynch has a particular interest in novel technologies and medical education. She is involved in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows at Penn. She is an active member of the ACG, AGA, ASGE, AFS, and ANMS. She currently serves on AGA and ASGE DDW Scientific Program Committees.
