Aparajita Singh, MD, MPH, is a gastroenterologist and associate professor of medicine at University of California San Francisco. She is director of UCSF GI Cancer prevention program. She is also director of quality and safety for the GI division at UCSF. Dr. Singh completed a residency in internal medicine at the Cleveland Clinic, followed by a fellowship in gastroenterology at UCSF. She also has an MPH from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, where she received the Goodman Award. Also passionate about medical education, she has served as director of gastrointestinal medicine clerkships and received an award for teaching excellence from the UCSF Haile T. Debas Academy of Medical Educators. Dr. Singh has held several leadership positions in professional associations, including vice president and president of the Northern California Society for Clinical Gastroenterology, Executive Council member of CGA-IGC ( Collaborative Group of Americas on inherited gastrointestinal cancers). Her research interests include medical education, improving identification and genetic testing for patients with Lynch syndrome and other high risk family history.
