Audrey Calderwood, MD, MS, FACG, is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and the Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice in Lebanon, NH. Quality in colorectal cancer prevention has been an overarching theme throughout her career. She is passionate about risk-aligned care, such that high-risk patients receive appropriate and timely care and that low-risk patients avoid unnecessary procedures. She validated disseminated and educated providers on the Boston Bowel Preparation Scale during her NIH Career Development Award. She is the PI of a PCORI-funded, large, multi-center trial comparing FIT vs. surveillance colonoscopy in older adults with a history of polyps (COOP trial). She serves on the ACG Research Committee and has served on the ASGE Quality Assurance in Endoscopy Committee and Standards of Practice Committee.
