Carl V. Crawford, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine, Attending Physician and Fellowship Program Director in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medicine. He is the primary GI consultant for the critically ill with an emphasis on the inpatient Advanced Heart Failure Service and Liquid Tumor services. He is the Program Director for the Gastroenterology and Hepatology Fellowship and Co-chair of the Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Committee. Dr. Crawford’s current interests are in the evaluation and management of enteric infections including Clostridium difficile and he is involved in research on live biotherapeutic therapy (LBT) for Clostridium difficile infections.
