David Faleck, MD, is an Assistant Attending on the Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition Service at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) where he also serves as Director of Inflammatory and Immune-Related Bowel Diseases, and is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College. He directs the interdisciplinary management of patients with gastrointestinal toxicities of immunotherapy and of patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) at MSK. He leads research efforts focused on the prediction, evaluation and management of immunotherapy-related colitis as well as the identification of early biomarkers of IBD-associated dysplasia and cancer. Dr. Faleck graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania and then attended the Albert Einstein College of Medicine as a Golding Research Scholar, where he was elected to the AOA medical honor society. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Columbia University Medical Center and then a fellowship in gastroenterology at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, where he specialized in the management of patients with IBD.
