R. Todd Frederick, MD, is a transplant hepatologist with the San Francisco Center for Liver Disease at California Pacific Medical Center. He currently serves as Clinical Director of Hepatology and Fellowship Director for Transplant Hepatology, as well as the Chair of the Clinical Protocols Committee for the Division. Dr. Frederick received his undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of California, Los Angeles, and his medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY. He completed both his Internal Medicine Residency and his Fellowship in Gastroenterology/Hepatology at the University of California, San Diego. His clinical and research interests include the management of advanced chronic liver disease and liver failure, artificial liver support systems, and portal hypertension, among other topics.
