Learn, discuss, and share practical strategies to promote health equity in pediatric physical therapy within clinics, academic settings, administration, research, governmental agencies, and communities. All individuals have a right to optimal health care access, and pediatric physical therapists and physical therapist assistants play a critical role in partnering with others to promote equity and inclusion at an individual, organizational, and societal level. Speakers will challenge participants to reflect on their own intersectional identities, learn about and discuss inclusive strategies for multiple pediatric PT work environments, and develop an action plan for ensuring equity and inclusion. The course is based on evidence-based advocacy frameworks promoting equity, health, and wellness for all children and families. The strategies introduced can be put into practice immediately in attendees’ personal and professional lives, while building a solid foundation for continued growth and learning opportunities.
Learning Objectives:
