Rachel Ancell graduated from Youngstown State University with her DPT in 2019 and following graduation she received a full –time position at Nationwide Children’s Hospital as a developmental pediatric physical therapist. Rachel is the lead PT at the Down’s syndrome clinic and is active with strategic partners. Rachel joined this evidence-based practice initiative following self-reflection that made her realize it was challenging writing therapy goals and treatment plans that reflect the patient and family’s priorities. She then delved into this project to improve herself as a clinician and inspire her colleagues to embrace the family-centered approach to pediatric care.
