Uryadi's Village (http://www.uryadisvillage.org/) is an orphanage in Sodo Ethiopia, that specializes in caring for children with disabilities and is a model for environmental sustainability. An international team of healthcare, permaculture, building and media professionals have helped to guide the process and to teach the local partners about new strategies, while respecting community culture and individual autonomy. Pediatric physical therapy has played an important role in the project. This practice fair presentation tells the story of the project, our adaptation of intervention for PT cases, and practical lessons we’ve learned from the experience.
