Based on a review of state and local education agency practice guidelines, the speakers will discuss 2 procedural requirements and decision-making questions that the IEP team can utilize when determining the need for related services under IDEA. Attendees will participate in a clinical reasoning activity to apply the 5 questions to a case study of a student that is being considered for school-based therapy services. The speakers will also share with the attendees an APTA Fact Sheet that was based on their study so that the attendees will have a reference to apply the lessons learned right away!
