Over the past 3 years, Covid-19 has affected the lives of kids all over the world. As we continually learn more about Covid-19, we have found that the virus effects our kids beyond the initial cough, fever, and days out of school. Chronic Covid-19 symptoms along with imposed limitations from recreational play to organized sport have led to chronic cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, and psychological changes in kids of all ages. These challenges and more have changed the world of youth activity & athletics.
Speakers who work with all levels of pediatric athletes will discuss the implications that Covid-19 has had on children’s health. A special focus will be put on common risk factors, evaluation techniques, and treatment considerations for patient post-Covid-19 infection. This educational session will also focus on the practical applications for returning athletes safely to all levels of activities.
