Liljana Ignjatova is psychiatrist, head of the Center for Prevention and Treatment of Drug Abuse and Abuse of the Other Psychoactive Substances and Professor at the Medical faculty of the University St.Cyril and Methodius in Skopje.
She became a founding member of the South Eastern European and Adriatic Addiction Treatment Network (SEEA net.) and World Federation for the Treatment of Opiate Dependence. She was voted president of SEEA net. from 2008 to 2012. Curently she is member of the boards of the directors of SEEA net. and member of the EUROPAD ( European opiate addiction treatment association). Since 2007 Liljana is Head of the group for treatment in Coordinative body for drugs of The City of Skopje and since 2010 she is permanent correspondent from Macedonia for Pompidou Group, Council of Europe (Inter – governmental body – Co-Operation Group to Combat Drug Abuse and illicit Trafficking in Drugs). She was president of the governmental inter ministerial commission for drugs in her country 2016- 2017. Liljana is involved in the drug policy in her country developing programs, protocols, strategies and action plans in the field of the drugs and drug dependence. Since 2018 Liljana is member of the Macedonian National Task Force for Problematic Usage of Internet. She is International Certified Addiction Professional I ( ICAP International Trainer), ENCP Trainer for International school for prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of addiction , Treat Net trainer for Management of drug dependence treatment services and for Elements of psychosocial therapy. Liljana organised more than 60 seminars, national and international conferences, symposiums and workshops in a field of dependence and have more than 100 publications in this filed. Liljana is awarded with „SEE net Reflection Award” in 2015.
