Dr. Eric Morse was one of the first Buprenorphine Physician Clinical Support System (PCSS) mentors and continues to mentor physicians working in the field of opioid use disorder. Dr. Morse owned and operated his first Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) from 2006 to 2014. Dr. Morse continues to operate multiple OTPs across the state. Dr. Morse has been a member of the North Carolina Governor’s Commission of Mental Health and Substance Use, a consultant to the North Carolina Governor’s Institute for Substance Use Prevention, Medical Advisor for Substance Use Treatment for professional sports leagues and the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) and is an active board member of North Carolina Psychiatric Association Addiction and Program Committee.
Dr. Morse was an Addiction Psychiatrist with North Carolina State University from 2006-2021 and won the Fred Glazer Award in NC for lifetime achievement in addiction medicine. Dr. Morse also moderates state-wide OTP Medical Provider Meetings. Dr. Morse has devoted himself to improving the lives of patients in North Carolina through quality treatment, research, training, and mentoring. As an Addiction Psychiatrist he has been a driving force in changing the attitudes and hearts of medical providers and the public.
