Ms. Cheryl Gardine began working in the substance abuse treatment field in 1985 as a detox technician at Koala Center. Ms. Gardine received her certification as a substance abuse counselor in 1986 and became the Clinical Director of the Adult Program until its closing. Ms. Gardine then went on to be the Clinical Director of the Vista Program and a substance abuse counselor at Bridgeway Counseling Services. In 1992, Ms. Gardine began working for DART as the Clinical Supervisor of the outpatient program and then went on to be the Clinical Director for the Methadone Program and a 35 bed Modified Medical Detox Program until it closed in 2004.
Ms. Gardine was a co-founder and the Executive Director of Center for Life Solutions, Inc, which officially opened Jan 1, 2005. Ms. Gardine served on the Missouri State Advisory Council, Missouri Substance Abuse Professional Credentialing Board, and on the advisory board of Employment Connection. Ms. Gardine was the Missouri delegate for the American Association for the Treatment of Opioid Dependence and has worked in the OUD treatment field for over 36 years. Ms. Gardine’s dedication, knowledge, willingness to teach and serve, intrinsic desire to help anyone and unwavering loyalty to the field, family, and friends, will be part of her legacy.
