Tina Masai is a mental health practitioner with 14 years experience in public & private mental health in Africa. Over the last 5 years she has worked as an addiction specialist providing technical support for two national Medically Assisted Therapy Clinics in Kenya and a Civil Society Organization which collectively serve over 4500 PWIDS. She has participated in development of national guidelines on PWID implementation in Kenya, led development of the psycho-social component of the national MAT training curriculum, coordinated the roll-out of the inaugural national ToT training and has provided training regionally on MAT implementation.
She has lent subject matter expertise on development, revision and validation of national MAT guidelines, standard operating procedures and national data collection tools on Medically Assisted Therapy in Kenya. She is presently a member of the CDC implementing partner Technical Working Group on Implementing Mental Health Services among Key Populations.
