Katie Rouse is the Executive Director of On Our Own of Maryland, a statewide, peer-run behavioral health education and advocacy nonprofit which promotes equality, justice, autonomy, and choice about life decisions for individuals with mental health and substance use needs. Her career in leading participant-driven organizations to build capacity for expansion and enhanced impact includes previous roles in launching the Consumer Quality Team at the Mental Health Association of Maryland and as Operations Director at Main Street Housing, a peer-run affordable housing development organization. She serves on a variety of councils, committees, and coalitions in Maryland's behavioral health community.
