Vanessa Baaklini, MSW is a senior associate with The Pew Charitable Trusts' substance use prevention and treatment initiative. She provides research support for state policy efforts, leads and supports the initiative’s research projects, and develops publications on evidence-based treatment for opioid use disorder. Before joining Pew, she worked at the University of Pittsburgh where she focused on implementing and evaluating substance use prevention initiatives in healthcare settings. Baaklini holds a master’s degree in social work from The Ohio State University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology.
