At the completion of this activity, participants will:

Describe harm reduction among medicated-assisted treatment for opioid use disorder.
Critiques of harm reduction along with what harm reduction is and its place in prevention, treatment, and recovery.
Apply harm reduction in various roles and settings to be more comfortable with its use and see how it can save lives.

Presentation Summary: Harm Reduction among a medical provider, clinical manager, substance abuse counselor, peer support specialist, and regional outreach manager. Propose tough questions about harm reduction and how the answer developed among their roles in this profession. Be a part of the uncomfortable dialogue to overcome some of the shame and stigmas associated with harm reduction in order to see the life saving efforts it has in the opioid crisis.
