Presentation Summary: Over the past several years, medicated assisted treatment, or MAT, has become one of the most notable and affordable treatments for opioid use. Sunrise Treatment Center, an outpatient opioid treatment program, developed and implemented a performance measurement tool called the Patient Outcome Assessment. The patient outcome assessment was designed to monitor patient behavioral health factors such as hospital admissions, preventative healthcare, legal involvement, social interactions, and mental health status. The proposed workshop will include introducing the patient outcome assessment, the basic use of the assessment and interpretation, and providing examples of how the patient outcome assessment can increase treatment outcomes.
